We love the parade of perennials from April to October, in lovely combinations, sometimes with our scented herbs, wildflowers like orange Asclepius, and woodland berries.  Some of our annuals are nigella, asters, globe amaranth, celosia, zinnias & sunflowers. The palate changes every few weeks from the earliest daffodils, iris & lupins, to peonies, baptisia, lady’s mantle, foxgloves & salvias, to helianthus, echinacea, feverfew, zinnias & too many other summer beauties to name.  September brings dahlias of all colors, golden rod & lavender physostegia.  During the summer we cut yarrow, amaranth, celosia and everlastings and hang them to dry in the hayloft.  In fall and winter we combine these with dried berries in wreaths and table arrangements.

While our flowers are not technically “organic” — we would have to use all organic seed for the annuals & organic tubers for the dahlias — there are no pesticides, herbicides or fungicides used in their production.  Just our good compost, some bone meal and TLC.

We love making arrangements for galas, gifts or for your kitchen table.  Substantial 12″ x 12″ creations in a 5″x 5″ vase cost $58 + tax.  Arrangements in pint mason jars — a casual farmy look that we love — are just $12.  We hope you’ll get in touch (info@whitegatefarm.net) to discuss a project you have in mind.
